June 2023 – heavy travel from Les Rencontres de Figra, in Douai (FR), to Sydney International Film Festival (AUS), Provincetown Film Festival (US) and Transylvania International Film Festival (RO) (selections out of competitions).
June 21st – Bay Area premiere at the 47th. edition of Frameline, in San Francisco, where the film is its Centerpiece presentation. We win the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Documentary.
May 29th – Polish premiere, at the 63th edition of Krakow Film Festival, where it Who I Am Not wins the Silver Horn Award for High Artistic Value (International Competition).
May 25th – New Zeeland premiere at the 71st. edition of Doc Edge Festival in Auckland. Winner of Being Oneself selection.
May 16th – Serbia premiere at Beldocs!
May 21st – Spain premiere at the 26th edition of Docs Barcelona, where the film received FILMIN’s New Talent Award (International Competition). Later, on July 3rd, the 20th edition of Zinegoak Festival in Bilbao bestowed on the film its prestigious Diversity and Human Rights Award.
April 21st. – UK premiere at BFI Flare in London, as its Centerpiece presentation, and Danish premiere at CPH:Dox (out of competition)!!!
Who I Am Not’s North American premiere took place on March 15th, 2023 at the prestigious SXSW, where the movie was an official selection, and screened in the Documentary Spotlight section
Who I Am Not had its World and European Premiere in Greece, at Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (March 5th., 2023), where it won The Silver Alexander Award (International Competition), The Mermaid Award for Best LGBTQ documentary, and Greek Women in Film & Television Award.
Alongside seven other projects, Who I Am Not was selected to participate in Dok Incubator, one of Europe’s most prestigious creative labs, exclusively dedicated to documentaries.
Dok’s three work sessions took place in Slovakia and Czech Republic, between June and October of this year.

Who I Am Not was selected by When East Meets West – Trieste 2022 to participate in its Market Forum, where it won the Documentary Association of Europe’s Accelerator Award.
